Leaders as brands

In this competitive marketplace where everything seems like it has been done. It can be a daunting thing to articulate your value in the most definitive way. Leaders who fail to identify the type of leader they are will not be able to attract the kind of people they need to support their vision. It is significant to note that even the most talented leaders need to have good people around them.
Your vision is important as a leader however if you are not able to identify who you really are, you cannot define your unique vision. And failure to define your vision is the result you are unable to attract the right talent. The temptation often is to do better and faster but that does not solve the problem. The solution is rather to slow down to think.
The other thing that you need to do as a leader is to define your core. This has to do with articulating the values that define you. Example: Determined, have integrity and fair.
Now, those three values are really just words unless you live them day by day. It is critical that people see them in how you live your life as a leader. They cannot just take them and assimilate then into their lives unless you live them out. Brands are connected to certain values. Therefore, let your values define your brand.
